Join MPF Board Member Brian Edmond on a hike through our Golden Prairie (Barton County), checking for reptiles and amphibians under boards, in the pond, and identifying native plants along the way. The hike will be approximately 2 miles total.

Brian Edmond is a Missouri Prairie Foundation board member, and works by day as an IT professional at Missouri State University. Much of his extracurricular work occurs at the intersection of biology and technology. He is an author on the Atlas of Missouri Amphibians and Reptiles and manages web sites for several non-profit organizations, including helping with our new Grow Native!, and Missouri Prairie Foundation web sites. He has a specific interest in native plants, amphibians, reptiles, scientific collections, habitat restoration, conservation issues, and exploring natural areas. Brian holds a Bachelor of Science in wildlife biology from the University of Missouri.
