Join guide Amy Witt, ecologist for Forest Park in St. Louis, for a tour of the native plantings within Forest Park’s Deer Lake Savanna. Goldenrods, asters, and other late summer wildflowers should be abundant. Dress for a walk outdoors (long pants and closed toe shoes). The relatively flat route will be a mixture of gravel and dirt/grass paths. Participants will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the northwest entrance into Deer Lake Savanna on Grand Drive (38.643855, -90.278648). The hike will go forward with a minimum of five registrants, with a maximum registration of 30 people.
Free.
