Register HereChris Hartley is the Manager of Living Collections, Education and Facilities at the Sophia M. Sachs Butterfly House. Raised in north Georgia, Chris eventually attended the University of Georgia where he earned a Masters in Entomology. He quickly acquired a love for education, and started at the Butterfly House nearly 20 years ago in August 2006. Chris worked as an entomologist in the education department before his present role. Day to day work activities include the supervision of care for the living arthropod collection, tropical and native plants, and oversight of the education team. Chris coordinates interpretation volunteers and helps mentor the MANTIS program, which is for teen volunteers age 14 and up.
